One Zen Garden in the center of Hong Kong

A sliced of peace in bustling city

Hong Kong is a bustling city where busy traffic and fast walking people everywhere. Being a local hongkongnesa, mostly, I feel difficult to find a piece of tranquil. For his first visit, I did some research on “the most quiet place in Hong Kong” and surprisingly I found one zen garden.

Zen Garden

Nan Lian Garden is a park built in the style of Tang-Dynasty. Located in Kowloon side,
Diamond Hill, yet surroundings with Lion Rock Hill, Chi Lin Nunnery and Fu Shan Estate. It is easy accessible for a day trip in Hong Kong. Its botanical garden is meticulously landscaped over an area of 3.5 hectares. Every rock, water features, plants and timber structure have been placed in specific rule and method. It reflects the combination of traditional Chinese garden elements, with perfect coordination of rocks, water features, plants and architecture.  Continuous Reading

Bastei, most famous as its distinctive rock formation, surrounding with table mountains, deeply carved valleys, gorges and sandstone cliffs in the Central of Europe.

This is Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland.

The beauty of Nature

The pantone of forest is, except green and only green, seems like endless sea of green. We walked through verdant places. Fascinated to see the beauty of nature. The leafy paradise is stillness beautiful and appealing, either constant forest trees, river and waterfall, or vivid wild mushroom, butterfly fly and birds sing. I planned to stay in Madrid for 3 days, before flying back to Hong Kong. The hostel I booked was in central area, so I can go any places easily by walking. I spoke to the host with my kindergarten level Spanish. He was so patient to tell me things to do in Madrid, like Parque del Buen Retiro, Museco Centro de Arte Reina SofíaMercado de San MiguelMuseo del Prado. Taste of Authentic Nepali Momo

Once I arrived to Nepal, the smell of Momo & Masala Tea is waving to me. I just can’t wait to have many Momo here.

What is Momo?

It is stuffed dumplings, ingredients like meat, vegetables or cheese fillings.

This little dumpling called “Momo” is very popular in India and Nepal. You can easily find any restaurants or café served Momo in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Originated from Tibet and its neighborhood China, it also looks like Chinese dumplings (“Jiao Zi”). When Tibetan travels across Himalayan for trading and political escapes, they brings along the traditional recipe of dumplings making.
