A sliced of peace in bustling city
Hong Kong is a bustling city where busy traffic and fast walking people everywhere. Being a local hongkongnesa, mostly, I feel difficult to find a piece of tranquil. For his first visit, I did some research on “the most quiet place in Hong Kong” and surprisingly I found one zen garden.
Nan Lian Garden is a park built in the style of Tang-Dynasty. Located in Kowloon side,
Diamond Hill, yet surroundings with Lion Rock Hill, Chi Lin Nunnery and Fu Shan Estate. It is easy accessible for a day trip in Hong Kong. Its botanical garden is meticulously landscaped over an area of 3.5 hectares. Every rock, water features, plants and timber structure have been placed in specific rule and method. It reflects the combination of traditional Chinese garden elements, with perfect coordination of rocks, water features, plants and architecture.
